LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (WKBN) - A road in Leavittsburg will be closed for a few days next week for work on a sanitary sewer project.

North Leavitt Road between West Market Street and Caufield Road will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The closure is in place for crews to work on the Meadowbrook Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project.

Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer Gary Nebrough says crews are currently installing a trunk sewer line under North Leavitt Road to the West side of the street near Canoe City. They'll soon be extending the line a half mile North on North Leavitt Road and need room to work.

"There's going to be quite a bit of equipment out there. We have to backfill the trench with low-shrink mortar that includes concrete trucks," Nebrough said.
