ESPN revealed that the thrilling overtime clash on ABC averaged 12.6 million viewers and peaked at 15.9 million.
The broadcast was ABC's best 3:30 ET regular season game since 2006 and the network's fourth most-watched regular season game over the last decade.
ABC signed a 10-year media rights deal with the Southeastern conference in 2020 that began this season and will run through the 2033-34 season. The opening weeks of this season have been ABC's best three-week start ever with an average of 7.8 million viewers.
