LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A Las Vegas shelter is bringing back an incentive program to encourage people to foster.

From now until Friday, the Animal Foundation says people can earn $200 by fostering a dog for one month. As of Monday, the shelter had nearly 500 dogs in its care. More than 300 of those arrived in the last week.

The Animal Foundation says it will provide all the supplies necessary for fostering a dog, including food. Dogs over six months old and weighing more than 35 pounds are eligible for fostering.

Fosters will receive $200 when the four-week foster period is up.
