MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — From a basement to a new state-of-the-art facility: The Muskegon Police Department is just a few weeks away from moving into its new and improved space.

It is part of a $450,000 investment to renovate and upgrade the department, Public Safety Director Tim Kozal told News 8.

"It is a lot more comfortable workspace to be able to do the reports, follow up on interviews, train and be with each other," Kozal said.

When officers arrive at the new space, they are greeted by their brand-new mission statement. Kozal said that was intentional to remind everyone what their purpose is every day.
