DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. —
Parts of Indiana are under a burn ban due to dry conditions caused by a lack of rain and high temperatures this month.

In the Greater Cincinnati area, Switzerland, Ohio, Dearborn, Franklin and Union counties are under burn bans.
When a burn ban is issued, consumer fireworks are prohibited, along with open burning of any kind of debris and lighting of recreational campfires, unless the fire is within a fire ring measuring at least 23 inches in diameter and 10 inches in height.
