OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Mayor John Ewing Jr. is planning a news conference Wednesday to highlight the accomplishments of his first 100 days in office.

He’s also planning to make a couple of announcements, including new details about Omaha’s homecoming celebration of record-breaking champion fighter Terence “Bud” Crawford . The Omaha native defeated Canelo Alvarez in a late-night brawl Saturday to claim the super middleweight championship by unanimous decision, making him the first man to hold three unified division titles in the four-belt era.

Ewing’s team also said the mayor will share some information about some upcoming public “town hall” meetings.
