MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — It's a special delivery to the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church's cold weather shelter.
"I go out and I put different businesses together, this is from the Baymont hotel, so the team up there got in touch with me and said we have these blankets available," said Steve Ertle, East Stroudsburg.
Shelter manager, Peter Manfre, says the donation came at just the right time, "We always need blankets, and we were about to order some, and Steve called me up and told me he had a donation of 100 blankets. That was like a godsend, it really was."
The shelter on North Fifth Street opens for the season on November 1, so volunteers are preparing to welcome even more guests through the doors. Over the last two years, the shelter averaged about 50 people a night.
