(NewsNation) — In a sequence of events that could have come straight from a movie scene, a thief using scuba gear robbed a Disney restaurant and made off with more than $10,000.

In the early morning hours Tuesday, the thief swam up to the Paddlefish restaurant in Disney Springs, which is a part of the Walt Disney World Resort.

The restaurant is operated out of a replica steamboat anchored in a lake.

After reaching the restaurant, the thief secured the gear and went to the management office and stole between $10,000 and $20,000 from staff members who were depositing the night's earnings in the safe.

The employees were reportedly tied up, though no weapon was used.
