PORTLAND, Maine — It’s been about a decade since David Young & The Interstate Kings got started.

They were just kids when they started playing together, David Young pointed out, so it’s tough to pinpoint exactly when the band officially came together.

A few years ago, they made the move to Nashville to pursue their music career, and it’s paying off.

The band is wrapping up a summer of touring that took them from the East coast to the shores of the Pacific Ocean.

They’re back home this week with shows in Franklin, New Hampshire, Gary’s Olde Towne Tavern in Naples, and at Portland Lobster Company.
