LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - The sound of hammers, saws, and drills fill some neighborhoods in southern Kentucky.
People are rebuilding four months after a deadly tornado.
Decades old, destroyed in seconds, and now Larry Vanhook’s daughter’s home is being rebuilt from the ground up.
“And they were down in the basement, even the block was twisted,” said Larry Vanhook, looking over the home.
Despite being built in the 1950s, the tornado left very little of it to salvage. Workers are taking advantage of the good weather to get it finished.
“We are hoping sometime around Christmas, that be a good Christmas present. These boys have worked pretty hard with the weather,” Vanhook said.
