Argyle residents will have a slightly lower property tax rate following the unanimous approval of the property tax rate and fiscal year 2025-26 budget at the Sept. 15 council meeting .
The council adopted a $20.36 million budget for FY 2025-26, which includes funds for road improvements, the town center and police department project, and the Argyle Nature Trail.
“[The budget] achieves our strategic goals,” council member Casey Stewart said. “It’s going in the direction that we want as far as spending money where we want.”
What you need to know
The adopted property tax rate is $0.343100 per $100 of taxable valuation, which is a decrease of $0.00011 per $100 valuation from the tax rate adopted in fiscal year 2024-25, per town documents.
The tax rate is broken into two components, the
