ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis man was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison Wednesday for fraudulently getting more than $600,000 in pandemic relief loans.

Shahron Vaulx, 41, was also ordered to pay back all of the $629,809 they received through the loans.

Vaulx pleaded guilty in January to two counts of wire fraud. The United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri said he submitted eight fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program loan applications between May 2020 and June 2021.

The office said those applications contained false information about monthly payroll and the number of company employees, as well as fake tax forms. Those applications were submitted under Fortunnett Financial LLC, SD Incorporation LLC, SV Collections LLC and SD Marketing LLC.
