PHOENIX (KVOA) - Gov. Katie Hobbs has ordered that all state buildings flags be lowered to half-stall in honor of the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District (TMFMD) firefighters who died in the line of duty.
According to a press release, Hobbs ordered that all state flags be lowered to half-stall in honor of Brenna Kulikowski, 31, on Sept. 17 and in honor of Damon Thompson, 21, on Sept. 18.
“I’m devastated by the tragic loss of Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District firefighters Brenna Kulikowski and Damon Thompson in the line of duty this week," Hobbs said. "We deeply appreciate their brave and selfless service to Arizonans. We mourn along with the community, and we will never forget their legacies and sacrifice.”
