A Slidell man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly carrying on a months-long relationship with a 14-year-old, exchanging vapes and other gifts for sex.

Marcus Meunier, 49, was booked into the Ascension Parish prison on three counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, a count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and a count of obstruction of justice.

Detectives with Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office first began investigating Meunier on July 17 after receiving reports that he had been involved in a sexual relationship with a teen.

The report said the relationship had been going on for several months and that Meunier bought nicotine vapes and other gifts for the juvenile victim, according to a release from APSO.
