SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On Wednesday, the Downtown Library in Sioux Falls was the site of a rally where organizers said they were urging Senator John Thune to uphold his oath to the US Constitution.
Organizers with We the People SD said Thune has failed to protect the Constitution and has allowed what they called an unprecedented abuse of power by President Trump.
Supporters encouraged the public to sign a call to action demanding accountability.
“We are facing perhaps the greatest threat to this constitutional democratic republic since its founding. In its simplest form, we are calling on Senator Thune to fulfill his obligations driven by values that South Dakotans cherish that they have learned across the decades in their homes, that they have learned across the decade
