TWIN FALLS — A local man convicted this spring on drug charges has been granted a new trial after raising questions about the conduct of a state public defender who, in August, was charged with DUI.

Accusations against public defender Michelle Agee will also likely be discussed on Friday at a pre-trial conference of a murder suspect who is being represented by Agee.

Tyrell Ramsey’s May 29 conviction of possession of a controlled substance was overturned this month on the order of District Judge William Hancock in a motion that wasn’t contested by prosecutors.
