Just seven months after hanging up his hat on Fox’s 9-1-1: Lone Star , Rob Lowe is eyeing a return to network TV as the star of a “workplace romantic comedy” in development at ABC , Variety reports.

Lowe is set to executive-produce and star in The Ram , which finds him playing a “daily sports talk show host who falls for the new producer brought in to boost his ratings,” per the character’s official description.

NFL legend Peyton Manning and real-life sports talk show host Colin Cowherd will also executive-produce. Additional EPs include writers Betsy Thomas, Bob Fisher and Rob Greenberg; Eric Tannebaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang of the Tannenbaum Co.; and Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown via Omaha Productions.
