AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — The Aurora City Council is considering new business regulations aimed at cleaning up areas in the city, including East Colfax Avenue.

Existing businesses would not be impacted, but new regulations would impact certain new businesses, including bail bond agencies, liquor stores, vape shops, marijuana retailers, pawn shops, extended stay motels, check cashing stores and more.

The Public Safety Committee discussed the proposal last week and the city council will look at the proposal during a study session next week.

Aurora City Council Member Danielle Jurinsky said the new businesses would have to pay a fee for a permit or license. Alongside, keeping up their property and following spacing requirements.
