HOUSTON (KIAH) -- Angela Diaz was reported missing on July 1, 2024. An early report from last year showed that Diaz was last seen that day near a hotel on Gulf Freeway while wearing a red dress.

Diaz's phone was tracked to a strip center on East Freeway near Federal Road, but the family did not hear from her after trying to call. The Texas Center for the Missing reported that Diaz's remains were found near Johnson Space Center in April and were identified by DNA last week.

In a statement, Diaz's father said:

It is with great sorrow that I share this heartbreaking update. Angela went missing on July 1, 2024, and after over a year of searching, her remains have now been located. Our family is devastated, and we are currently making funeral arrangements.
