U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego is again postponing previously scheduled town halls in Tucson and Yuma due to safety concerns after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Gallego, D-Arizona, also canceled a Sept. 13 town hall scheduled in Nevada, citing the same safety concerns.

An August visit to the Iowa State Fair that reflects Gallego’s consideration as a potential presidential candidate drew a smattering of protesters whom the Des Moines Register characterized as linked to Kirk’s Turning Point organizations.
