MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio (WOIO) - A 7th-grade student has been banned from attending any event at Mayfield High School and Mayfield Middle School for the remainder of this school year due to an incident at a football game on Friday, Sept. 5th.

According to a Mayfield Heights police report, a Mayfield middle school resource officer was working the Mayfield varsity football game.

The officer witnessed middle school students throwing objects at each other. The SRO told them to stop and sit down, or they would be asked to leave.

That’s when the SRO saw a 7th-grade student playfully hitting other students. The individual was asked to stop and sit down on several occasions. After halftime in the third quarter, the middle school students were at it again throwing things like skittles at each oth
