BUCKNER, Ky. —
Oldham County football head coach Jamie Reed is back where he believes he belongs.
After spending the past two seasons away from football, the longtime South Oldham leader has returned to the sidelines—now wearing Colonel blue.
“I think God intended me to be a coach and use my leadership in that regard,” Reed said.
Reed spent 13 seasons building South Oldham into a perennial contender, topping 100 wins and making deep postseason runs. Week 5 brings a unique twist: Oldham County travels to face the Dragons, the very program Reed helped shape.
“It’ll be weird,” he admitted. “I spent 13 really good seasons there. There are a lot of guys on that staff who are like family to me. Once the game starts, though—once 7:30 hits and we kick off—it’s back to business.”
