YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Five law enforcement officers were shot, three fatally, while serving a warrant in North Codorus Township.

The shooting happened around 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 17 after a 911 call, according to Ted Czech with the York County Office of Emergency Management. Pennsylvania State Police are leading the investigation.

Colonel Chris Paris in York County said during a news conference that the two surviving officers remain in critical but stable condition at WellSpan York Hospital. He declined to identify the agencies involved, citing the active investigation.

The suspected gunman is dead after being shot by police, Paris said.
