The Iowa Board of Regents has directed the state’s three public universities to investigate employees accused of making controversial comments following the death of Charlie Kirk. This decision comes amid calls from several Republican state lawmakers for the immediate termination of those involved.
The board stopped short of firing any employees, instead instructing university presidents to investigate all reports of staff members potentially violating social media policies. Employees under investigation will be placed on administrative leave during the process.
