BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - Local residents have seen the positive impacts of opioid settlement funds in communities across the state.

The Raleigh County Day Report Center has been one agency to benefit from opioid settlement funding. Leaders with the center have taken advantage of the statewide Initial Opportunity Grant program. Through the program they have been able to purchase a vehicle for the center which will be used to transport clients for medical care, job interviews, and court hearings. "The little things become big things down the road," said WV First Foundation Board Member, Greg Duckworth. "Being able to provide transportation that changes the way they're doing business here, it's a win-win."
