As Cincinnati police search for answers in the shooting death of a 16-year-old, City Hall is searching for answers for ways to stop the violence.

Despite that, Kearney was not in favor of a $5.4-million public safety measure that came under debate Wednesday. One point of contention was nearly $1 million for the 3CDC ambassador program.
“$880,000 to walk people to their cars, we can better allocate that money. Let’s allocate some of this money to community violence intervention,” Kearney said as council prepared to vote on the measure.
