LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A library located inside a beloved Highlands shopping center will stay for at least the next year.
Mayor Craig Greenberg and the Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL) announced Wednesday they will be expanding hours at the Highlands-Shelby Park Library and signed a new lease to keep the library at Mid City Mall.
The Highlands-Shelby Park Library, located inside Mid-City Mall (1250 Bardstown Road), will add Sunday hours, 1-5 p.m., beginning Nov. 2.
In addition, Library Interim Executive Director Barbara Sexton Smith and Metro Government signed a lease extension to keep the branch at the Mid-City Mall location through June 28, 2026.
