NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - As the workforce evolves, the importance of career readiness in high school becomes increasingly significant.
On Wednesday, Nacogdoches ISD hosted a table talk discussion on how they can better prepare their kids for the East Texas workforce and learn what local employers are looking for post-graduation.
Grey Burton, Nacogdoches ISD’s superintendent, said that their district has incredible students, and it’s the job of the people in that room to prepare those kids for the workforce.
“We have our work cut out, as we heard this whole dynamic has changed as far as K-12, P-16, I mean, the whole thing changed. We’ve got to adapt to help them adapt,” Burton said.
