ROCHESTER, Minn. — Olmsted County Parks and Trails is inviting community members to participate in a series of open house events to help shape the future of local parks.

These gatherings are part of efforts to update the master plans for Chester Woods, Oxbow, Root River, and Lake Zumbro parks, ensuring that improvements reflect local input. Each open house will offer information about the parks, along with displays and opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback.

Kid-friendly activities, including a nature program with a park naturalist, will be available at the Chester Woods and Oxbow parks events. Children can also share their vision for the parks through drawing activities.

The open house schedule includes:

- Chester Woods Park on August 14, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m.
