ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The DeKalb Fire Department and the family of Master Firefighter Preston Fant are preparing to lay him to rest nine days after he was killed in the line of duty fighting a warehouse fire.
Fant’s funeral at Truist Park is open to the public. Seating is on a first-come basis but there will be reserved seating for firefighters, DeKalb County officials and his family.
Around 11 a.m., there will be a procession from the West Cobb funeral home to Truist Park.
The public can enter the park through the first and third base gates (Battery Ave Southeast and Circle 75 Pkwy SE).
The seating will be available from lower-level sections 116-136.
