OKEMOS, Mich. (WILX) - Okemos boys soccer has a rich tradition of winning, and the Wolves are no different in 2025.

Led by first-year head coach Rob Antcliff, Okemos is closing in on capturing the 2025 CAAC-Blue title and has the support of a strong alumni tradition.

Most high school teams might have a player’s name on the back of their kits, but the Wolves are all united under one word that reads “Viva.”

That tradition began back in 1993 when a bunch of Okemos soccer players watched a VHS tape of France’s team from 1986 that used the phrase “Vive les Bleus.” The Wolves then decided to put their very own twist on it and now live by “Viva Maroon.”

Okemos has carried on that tradition since 1993, and the Wolves continue to play for a bigger cause than just this year’s team.
