TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Watervliet man pleaded guilty to an assault charge in connection to an attack in March in the city of Troy. Officials said Jahnye Griffin attacked the victim in the victim's Second Avenue home.

The victim sustained serious injuries.

Griffin will be sentenced in October to 18 years in prison and five years probation.
