COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said officers have arrested an adult male for two counts of attempted homicide that occurred while the suspect was a juvenile.

According to police, the shooting occurred in the parking lot at Memorial Park in April. They said three juveniles with handguns fired more than 30 rounds at a parked vehicle with two innocent bystanders inside.

Police said many of the bullets struck the occupied vehicle.

CSPD said the three juveniles were identified, and warrants with a “no bond” status were acquired.

According to officers, one of the juveniles was already on probation for previous offenses and was a suspect in several open cases through the Metro Burglary Unit. They said he was found after a surveillance operation
