Marple Newtown’s Brett Wolski and Haverford’s Liam Taylor had no trouble finding the end zone last Friday.
The senior running backs put on scoring clinics for their teams.
Wolski accumulated 182 yards and six touchdowns to power the Tigers past Harriton, 42-7. He became the first Delco back in seven years to hit the six-touchdown mark in a game.
Taylor, the 2024 Daily Times Player of the Year, was equally impressive during the Fords’ 61-0 shellacking of William Tennent. He piled up 180 yards on the ground and crossed the goal line five times.
It was no surprise the two backs shared Central League running back of the week honors, as voted by the coaches.
