Expectations have been high for the Cincinnati Bengals ever since they selected Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft , as the much-lauded quarterback won the Heisman Trophy and guided LSU to the national championship the previous season. Cincinnati even helped Burrow by drafting college teammate Ja'Marr Chase fifth overall the following year.

Things haven't quite gone as hoped in The Queen City, however, as the Bengals have yet to win a Super Bowl and missed the playoffs in three of Burrow's five NFL seasons. One reason for the lack of success has been the health of their star signal-caller, who missed large portions of the 2020 and 2023 campaigns due to injuries.
