NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 13-year-old was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier this month, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

The shooting happened on Sept. 2 on Burning Tree Drive and injured a 21-year-old man.

According to police, the teen approached the man in an apartment complex and fired at him before running away from the scene.

Police said the man was shot in the arm twice and was taken to Skyline Medical Center for treatment.

The juvenile was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 17 and was charged in Juvenile Court with attempted homicide, juvenile handgun possession and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
