LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The man charged with murder in connection to the fatal shooting at the Shawnee Park boat ramp appeared in court Wednesday.
Police arrested 27-year-old Michael Bullock Tuesday, charging him with murder in the death of Rachael Hughes.
LMPD said they found Hughes on Sept. 14 in a wooded area near the boat ramp.
Court records say Bullock and Hughes were seen leaving a business on Bardstown Road earlier that day.
Bullock allegedly shot Hughes eight times and left the scene, coming back with someone else to move her body to the wooded area.
He is also charged with complicity abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
A judge set his bond at $1 million on Wednesday.
