Bell: Danielle Smith blasts teachers for 'barreling ahead' to a strike

Wednesday morning and it is clear Alberta Premier Danielle Smith must have had a high-octane breakfast.

The premier makes it crystal clear what she thinks of those running the show at the Alberta Teachers’ Association, the ATA.

She does not mince her words.

As loyal readers know, teachers could go out on strike Oct. 6. That’s less than three weeks away.

Things are heating up.

“I’m not sure why the ATA leadership is barreling ahead to a strike,” says Smith.

“Everything that has been put forward to teachers we are addressing.”

Smith adds teachers will not be getting strike pay if the educators hit the bricks.
