CLEVELAND, Ohio— A North Royalton drug dealer was sentenced Wednesday to eight years in prison for running a narcotics ring in western Pennsylvania.
Robert Hurst, 46, distributed cocaine, crack and fentanyl to street-level dealers in New Kensington, about 18 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
U.S. District Judge Marilyn Horan in Pittsburgh handed down the sentence.
Prosecutors said that between October 2022 and March 2023, Hurst managed a ring that funneled the narcotics.
He lived in Northeast Ohio but owned a house in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, where he sold the drugs. He held decision-making authority over the organization and decided who was supplied with what drugs, according to prosecutors.
Hurst’s attorney, Michael DeMatt, wrote in court filings that Hurst was born in New Jersey but
