KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Hundreds of people attended an event honoring Conservative activist Charlie Kirk and the work he has done with Turning Point USA. Kirk was shot and killed last week while speaking at an event on a Utah college campus.

At the event on the University of Tennessee's campus, several speakers shared their memories of meeting Kirk, including the chapter's President Emma Arns.

"Charlie Kirk changed my life," She said. "The first time I met Charlie, I can still feel it, my heart racing, the excitement and the disbelief. I spoke with him to tell him I started a chapter at his very own high school outside of Chicago, where most people don't believe conservatives exist. One conversation and I knew my path forward."

She said her organization had about two days to plan this event
