MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Law enforcement agencies in Crittenden County are sending a stern warning to criminals: don’t cross the bridge into West Memphis to commit violent acts.
West Memphis Police Chief Robbin Campbell said his department, along with the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies, are working together as President Donald Trump’s order to deploy the National Guard to Memphis moves forward.
“We will not allow [residents] to be preyed upon or victimized by opportunistic criminals,” Campbell said. “Make no mistake about it, no bridge, no border, no boundary will keep you safe from the West Memphis Police Department and our area law enforcement partners.”
Campbell said his department plans to increase its presence throughout the city and at Southland Casino as needed. He
