EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Tri-State utility customers say this is one step closer to getting their concerns heard at the state house.

Indiana State Representative Alex Burton returns to his hometown to continue the conversation about utility expenses and what can be done to address it. Aretha Graves says having a discussion with a state representative face to face is a way to get your foot in the door.

“You have concern when your energy bill gets to equal or become bigger than a house payment," Graves said.

“Every time I go to Indianapolis someone is asking me a question about what is going on in Southern Indiana and I am literally showing them my utility bill and showing them what we are up against,” Burton said.
