HARTFORD APPLE FEST: The Hartford Apple Festival will be Friday to Sunday at the township center, state Routes 7 and 305. The event will include live music, a car show, food concessions, carnival games and a parade. There will be a queen pageant at 7 p.m. Friday, a pet parade at 10 a.m. Saturday and kids peddle tractor pull at noon Saturday. On Sunday, there will be a church service at 10:30 a.m., apple pie eating contest at 1 p.m. and apple peeling contest at 2 p.m. The car show will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Hartford United Methodist Church parking lot. Registration is at 1 p.m. with registration costing $5 per vehicle.

OPEN HOUSE: The Greene Historical Society will host an open house noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greene Town Hall.
