SALISBURY — It’s been a Rowan County football world turned upside down in the early going.

The three schools that have taken more than their share of lumps on football fields in this century — that’s South Rowan, East Rowan and Carson — have winning records after the three non-conference games.

The three schools that have out-athleted and out-performed opponents for a long time — that’s Salisbury, North Rowan and West Rowan — have losing records after three games.

Throw southern neighbor A.L. Brown in the pile as another perennially potent football school that has a losing record at this juncture.
