SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A new Korean restaurant has opened in San Francisco's Richmond District. Hwa Mi Won opened its doors to the public on Monday, Sept. 15, located at 6314 Geary Blvd.
The restaurant is currently in its soft opening phase, and its hours are limited to 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays, according to Hwa Mi Won's website.
Hwa Mi Won dubs itself as "authentic Korean comfort food, crafted with care."
The restaurant says its signature dishes are Galbi-jjim (braised short ribs), Seolleong-tang (beef bone soup) and Galbi-tang (short rib soup). Hwa Mi Won features a Galbi-jjim dish with oxtail that is known to be served at places like Daeho in SF's Japantown, which are both priced around $90.
Hwa Mi Won replaced Korean BBQ restaurant Jang Soo BBQ.
