A Canberra jury has retired to consider allegations of sexual assault, violence and harassment by a teenage girl against her former boyfriend.

The then-14-year-old is facing a total of five charges, which also include an allegation she encouraged the boy to take his own life, in an angry stream of messages after she ended their relationship.
The allegations arose after the boy was hospitalised, and he began to reveal claims about things the girl had done to him.
The trial saw a string of teenage witnesses, who had heard about the allegations at the time.
Both prosecutor Tamzin Lee and defence barrister Richard Edney noted the difficulty of the case.
