Nic White’s Wallabies career is — finally — over, but James O’Connor’s international swansong has continued at the expense of a Western Force star after the veteran was named in Australia’s Bledisloe Cup squad.
The Wallabies have named their squad for the two-Test series against New Zealand at Eden Park and Optus Stadium, and as one international career ended, another was extended.
Six Force players were named in the squad which will travel to Perth via Auckland as the Wallabies aim to win at Eden Park for the first time since 1986 in a bid to keep both their Bledisloe and Rugby Championship hopes alive.
But White will not be part of the squad — and neither will Ben Donaldson, with the returning fly-half overlooked by coach Joe Schmidt in favour of O’Connor.
