Woolworths has removed a nappy product after the discovery of an invasive beetle, sparking a biosecurity investigation.
The discovery was confirmed by the Federal Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry which said the detection was made on September 7.
"This detection – in Little One’s Ultra Dry Nappy Pants - Walker Size 5 (42pk) - was referred to DAFF, who directed that remaining stock be removed and secured," a DAFF statement read.
"The nappy pants were sold nationally only through Woolworths stores and no other nappy sizes or brands are considered to be affected at this stage."
The Department said it recommended customers not to use the Little One’s Nappy Pants or any goods which had signs of "insect or pest activity".
