Many turned to social media on Wednesday following the news out of rural York County that three police officers were killed and two more were injured while serving a warrant.

The shooting , which occurred at around 2:10 p.m., stemmed from a warrant being served on Haar Road in North Codorus Township.

Among those who used social media to express their grief was rock star Bret Michaels, who grew up in Mechanicsburg and attended Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School before pursuing his career in the entertainment industry.
