FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Classes will resume this morning at Diman vocational high school after it was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning.

According to officials, someone called Fall River police and said they had a bomb and an AK-47 inside one of the bathrooms and were in crisis.

Local and state police searched the school, later giving the “all clear” once the lockdown was lifted, some of the students went back to class.

The superintendent/director says, police believe it may have been what’s known as a “swatting” incident.

Some parents dismissed their kids early but classes continued as normal after the lockdown.

Fall River police say the investigation into the hoax remains active.
